Bio

Alexandrina Murphy does photography and video
in her Philadelphia-based arts practice,
and is a senior pursuing her bachelor's degree in Visual Studies
at Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture.

Her interest in art was born out of obsession with action manga and bad movies,
but her own work belongs to neither medium.
Murphy's compulsion to create has been channeled into video art,
with her works directly addressing the condition of overbearing terror brought on
by Modernity's inescapable surveillance and virological memetics.

Outside of the studio, Alexandrina continues to enjoy bad movies,
and has not stopped reading her stupid manga.
